Cue ball?

Are the cue balls in your club as good as they should be, do you realise that the cue balls in your club are more than likely too small!

Here is a simple test: place any other two balls from the set up against a cushion, place the cue ball in between these two, take the triangle or brush, placing it on top of the balls moving it slowly towards the centre of the table. Invariably you will find that the cue ball (white) will remain up against the cushion - indicating that it is too small. The reason for this is that all balls are made from phenolic resin and when constantly hit with the cue has a tendency to go out of shape. The manufacturers recommend that a new set when purchased should be replaced at approximately 5 years, during which time two (2) whites should be used owing to the above facts.
